AIR FAIR 2009

On May 29-30, 2009 the third edition of the exhibition "Everything for Aviation" AIR FAIR 2009 took place. The exhibition was organized by the Military Aviation Depot No. 2.

Polish and international aviation companies exhibited during the Fair. The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich, the mayor of the city of Bydgoszcz and the president of the Polish Flying Club. The opening ceremony was carried out by the undersecretary of state in MoD Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz.

The first day of the exhibition was devoted to business meetings. The second one was open for the visitors, who could appreciate displayed military and civil aircraft as well as the exhibition presented by the Inspectorate for Armed Forces Support and the Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz.

During the exhibition "Everything for Aviation" AIR FAIR 2009 the prize-giving ceremony was conducted. One of the prizes went to the Air Force Institute of Technology. The Institute was awarded for development and implementation of a Flying Laboratory "SONEX" intended to test airborne devices and systems under environmental conditions typical of a flight. The author of the project is a pilot Henryk Szkudlarz. .

At the exhibition the Institute was represented by the Deputy Director Andrzej Żyluk and the Head of Research Planning and Coordination Department Krzysztof Sochocki. The AFIT's developments were presented by the Development and Promotion Department.
