For many years, AFIT - within its statutory activities - has been organising and co-organising scientific conferences, which present the current condition together with modern methods of solving problems related to aeronautical engineering.

Popularisation of research findings and research studies is undoubtedly a way of public verification of both applied research methods and scientific level not only in Poland but also abroad.

As a means of popularisation and promotion of scientific achievements of AFIT's research workers, the Institute:

• organises
• International Conference on "Diagnostics of aircraft and helicopters AIRDIAG" every 2 years since 1994;
• International Conference on "Safety and Reliability" every year since 2005;
• Forum "Aircraft - Helicopters - Gliders" every 2 years since 2000.
• co-organises:
  • Conference "Polish School of Reliability" every year since 1971 in Szczyrk;
  • Forum "Aircraft - Helicopters - Gliders" (as a coorganiser since 2004)

Research workers of AFIT participate in numerous conferences, symposia and seminars in Poland and abroad, which are organised by civil and military aviation institutes related to aircraft industry.

R&D Council, which supervises the registration and conferment procedure for a doctoral degree, organises doctoral seminars. Moreover, there are many seminars on current issues of AFIT.
