Winter School of Reliability - Szczyrk 2007

The 35th meeting of the Winter School of Reliability devoted to "Problems of systems reliability" was organised on January 8-12, 2007 in Szczyrk. The Honorary Chairman of the meeting was Prof. Zbigniew Smalko from AFIT.

Due to the Jubilee of the Winter School of Reliability, achievements of various research teams within last 5 years were summarised. The following representatives of AFIT presented the papers at the meeting: Prof. Jerzy Jaźwiński, Prof. Zbigniew Smalko, Asst. Prof. Józef Żurek, Prof. Jerzy Lewitowicz, Prof. Henryk Tomaszek, Ryszard Szczepanik, Ph.D. Eng. and Lt. Col. Sławomir Klimaszewski, Ph.D. Eng.

Logistic Meeting

The 10th Conference of Applied Logistics entitled "Total Logistic Management" took place on December 7-9, 2006 in Zakopane. The meeting was held under the patronage of the Chairman of the Transport Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The following representatives of AFIT were invited to participate in the Committee of the Conference: Prof. Jerzy Jaźwiński, Prof. Jerzy Lewitowicz and Prof. Józef Żurek.

The subject matter of the Conference included all possible areas where logistics can be applied, taking into account the international issues and high-tech information technologies, which support logistic decisions.
