AFIT's SEMINARS
Technical Support of F-16 Operation
The Development & Promotion Department of AFIT organised a seminar on the possibilities of the Institute's participation in the technical support
programmes for F-16 operation. The seminar was chaired by Jarosław Werocy, M.Sc. Eng., a specialist from the above-mentioned Department.
The seminar was organised for the heads of research divisions and those who were interested in the subject matter.

Doctoral Seminars
The Doctoral Seminar (the closure of the registration and conferment procedure for a doctoral degree) on "The parametric system to
evaluate stored munitions" was held on October 3, 2006 in AFIT. The subject matter was presented by Dariusz Ampuła, M.Sc. Eng.
Two Doctoral Seminars took place on May 23, 2006 in AFIT. The subject matter presented was:
- Experimental verification of a mathematical model of a helicopter sight system -
presented by Mariusz Pietraszek, M.Sc. Eng. (the closure of the registration and conferment procedure for a doctoral degree).
- A method of technical readiness assessment for an on-board helicopter - presented by Sergiusz Szawłowski, M.Sc. (the opening of
the registration and conferment procedure for a doctoral degree).

In the second quarter of 2006 the following seminars took place in AFIT's divisions:

Division for Air Armament
- "The aerial target simulator for training Anti Aircraft Defence Troops". The author: Lt. Col. Wiesław Buler, Ph.D. Eng.
- Division for Reliability and Safety of Aeronautical Systems
- "The ASIP programme in the light of information collected on international conferences". The author: Maj. Andrzej Leski, Ph.D. Eng.
- "Characteristic of the F-16C/D Block 52 Plus general purpose aircraft armament system, which was purchased by Poland". The author: Stanisław Podskarbi.
- "Selected issues on fracture mechanics". The author: Assoc. Prof. Sylwester Kłysz.
- "SINTAP and FITNET procedures used in strength assessment of structure with cracks". The author: Maj. Michał Misztal, Ph.D. Eng.
