Division for Fuels and Lubricants

The Division is involved in:

• research work in the following areas:
• engine fuels (aviation, marine and ground ones),
• biofuels and biocomponents (biofuels and components for fuels and oils),
• lubricating oils, including engine, gear, hydraulic, industrial and other ones,
• other petroleum products (preservatives, engine coolants, brake fluids, industrial (processing) fluids,
• operating fuels,
• fuels and operating fluids quality control systems;
• developing the technologies for operating fluids of synthetic, mineral and biocomponents base;
• petroleum products and operating fluids of synthetic, mineral and biocomponents base.

The Division also conducts research and gives an expert opinion on:

• quality assessment of petroleum products and operating fluids;
• diagnostics of maintenance status of fuel systems and lubrication system;
• micrological contamination of fuels;
• interaction between petroleum products and construction materials and protective coating;
• period of storage of fuels and operating fluids;
• operating fluids selection to technical equipment;
• operating fluids substitutes selection;
• impact of fuels and lubricating oils on technical equipment' failures;
• quality requirements for operating fluids for new technical equipment.

The Division for Fuels and Lubricants has got the research Laboratory accredited by the Polish Centre of Accreditation (Certificate No AB 098)
