On April 23, 2026, the 4th Innovators' Meeting under the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (NATO DIANA) initiative was held at the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL). The event was organized on the initiative of the DIANA Accelerator leader in Poland – FORT Kraków (Kraków DIANA Accelerator Poland), managed by AGH University of Science and Technology and the Kraków Technology Park. Coordination from the Ministry of National Defence was carried out by the MON Innovation Department.
The meeting was attended by seven foreign teams of innovators accelerated at FORT Kraków, as well as representatives of Polish NATO DIANA Test Centres, military research institutes, and national research and development centres.
During the event, innovative solutions were presented, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in reconnaissance and combat missions, object detection systems using acoustic methods, and software for signal integration and operational situation management.
ITWL presented its competencies in the design and research and development work related to autonomous platforms, the potential of its research facilities, and the tasks of the newly established Centre for Autonomous Systems (OSA). Participants also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with an exhibition of the Institute's innovative technical solutions developed for military aviation and autonomous systems.
The meeting also served as an important platform for discussions on cooperation between foreign innovators, National Test Centres as well as military and national research institutes.
