On 4 February 2026 at 12:00 p.m., the inaugural meeting of the Scientific Council elected for the 2026–2030 term was held. In accordance with the meeting agenda, the Director of ITWL opened the session by presenting information on the election process and subsequently formally presented the letters of appointment to all members of the Scientific Council.

At the International Trade Fair “Ideas, Inventions, New Products” (iENA 2025) in Nuremberg, held from November 1–3, ITWL participated as part of the Polish pavilion, organized by TURKUS — the official representative of the iENA Fair in Poland.

On Friday, October 17, 2025, the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), supervised by the Minister of National Defence, signed a conditional agreement with Boryszew S.A. to acquire 52% of the shares in the company Hornet – Polskie Drony Spółka z o.o., established by Boryszew S.A.

The 5th Armed Forces Innovation Forum, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of National Defence serving as a platform for collaboration between the military, academia, and industry, was held at the Military University of Technology on October 14, 2025.

From 2.09.2025 to 5.09.2025, the Air Force Institute of Technology participated in the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) 2025 in Kielce. This year's edition of the fair turned out to be particularly fruitful, bringing prestigious awards, numerous meetings with key representatives of the defence industry and new perspectives for cooperation.

On July 22, 2025, at the Air Force Institute of Technology, a meeting of the Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Defense,  Cezary Tomczyk, with the Directors of Military Research Institutes took place.

On 26-27 June 2025, at the initiative of the Aircraft Airworthiness Department, a meeting of the NATO Task Force on Airworthiness of Military Aircraft as a Strategic Capability, key to ensuring safe, effective and uninterrupted air operations across the Alliance, was held at ITWL.

On June 12, 2025, a static display of military equipment entitled “Shield East and Technical Modernization” took place at the premises of the 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade.

From June 3–5, 2025, the 18th International Trade Fair for Inventions and Innovations INTARG was held in Katowice, where the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) took part in the accompanying 31st Top Inventions Exchange.
