On April 26–27, 2026, the two-day international conference “Road to URC – Security and Defence Dimension” was held at Rzeszów University of Technology, with the participation of top representatives of the Polish, Ukrainian, and European Union authorities. The event was attended by, among others, Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko, Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański, and Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk.
The event served as an important platform for the exchange of experiences and the presentation of modern solutions in the field of security and defence. An integral part of the conference was the Expo Zone, where Polish products and solutions supporting security were showcased, including technologies intended for the defence sector, critical infrastructure, and aviation.
As part of the static exhibition organised at the Ministry of National Defence (MON) stand, the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) participated, presenting selected solutions developed for the Polish Armed Forces and foreign partners. The following products were presented:
- “Zjawa 2” optoelectronic seeker,
- “KLESZCZ” UAS (Unmanned Aerial System),
- “Piorun” aircraft rocket system,
- Flares and passive protection system cassettes.
The ITWL stand was visited by the Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr. Andrzej Domański, and the Chargé d’affaires to Ukraine, Mr. Piotr Łukasiewicz, who were introduced to the presented solutions. The directions of ITWL’s activities were presented by Col. Radosław Przysowa, DSc, PhD, Prof. of ITWL – Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Robert Czaplicki, MSc, Eng. – Head of the Promotion Department, representing ITWL.
ITWL’s participation in the event was an important element in promoting the national technological potential and highlighted the significance of cooperation between Poland and Ukraine in the area of security and defence.
