At the Air Force Institute of Technology, the last, ceremonial meeting of the Scientific Council of ITWL in term of office 2018 - 2021 was held. The session took place on December 21, 2021.
The Air Force institute of the Technology transferred to the Foundation White&Red Wings (FCBS) the I-22 "Iryda" aircraft. I-22 served for years to ITWL specialists for research and technological testing and training of engineering staff. The aircraft will be used in the following years to promote Polish military aviation in the country and beyond its borders.
ITWL has been distinguished by medals for the inventions on international trade fairs "Ideas, inventions, new products" IENA 2021. The fair took place in November this year. In Nuremberg.
The MINI Class NeoX-2 UAV which is being developed in the ITWL's Division of Composite Structures as a response to the Technical Association Program of the Polish Armed Forces, passed positive verification checking. System verification was attended by the representatives of the Armament Inspectorate, Polish Armament Group and gestures.
Twenty most important Polish enterprises and institutions developing cosmic technologies, including Air Force Institute of Technology, appointed Cosmic Technology Cluster (KTK). The agreement was signed on November 5, 2021 during the Congress 590, which took place in Nodrzovska Jasionka. The Institute was represented by Deputy Director of Ph. D Eng. Jarosław Sarnecki.
Director of ITWL - Mirosław Kowalski, prof. ITWL and Rector - Commandant WAT Col. Professor Przemysław Wachulak, Ph.D. D.Sc. Eng. signed a cooperation agreement between the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) and the Military University of Technology (WAT). The ceremonial signing of the document took place on July 1, 2021. At the Institute's headquarters.
On June 17, 2021, on the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), a ceremonial meeting of the ITWL's Scientific Council was held in the the Center for Innovative Aviation Technologies of President Ryszard Kaczorowski.
The project "The use of quantum technologies in the air traffic management of Polish Armed Forces" (QATM) was inaugurated in ITWL on June 15, 2021. The project is co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development as part of the Competition No. 1 / "Szafir" / 2020 for the implementation and financing of projects implemented for the defense and state security.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Rajmund Andrzejczak, paid a visit to the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The meeting was hosted by the Director of AFIT, Ph.D., D.Sc. Eng. Mirosław Kowalski, prof. ITWL, and took place on April 7, 2021.
